Local Information
Herne Bay – A small, smart seaside town just 7 miles from Canterbury. Situated in a quiet area with safe, off street parking and ideally located for exploring Kent and the surrounding area.

Herne Bay seafront has been restored in recent years to provide a delightful promenade which includes covered seating & sculptures with, at its centre, the impressive Bandstand which houses a cafe bar, tourist information centre and enclosed seating area with sea views for summer concerts.

The High Street and parallel Mortimer Street (which is pedestrianised) have a wealth of fascinating little shops to browse through. among them are a wide selection of cafes, bars, restaurants and pubs at which to rest and enjoy a snack, lunch or later in the day, an evening meal. There are several more places to eat situated on the seafront with views over the bay.
