Herne Bay seafront has been restored in recent years to provide a delightful promenade which includes covered seating & sculptures with, at its centre, the impressive Bandstand which houses a cafe bar, tourist information centre and enclosed seating area with sea views for summer concerts.
The High Street and parallel Mortimer Street (which is pedestrianised) have a wealth of fascinating little shops to browse through. among them are a wide selection of cafes, bars, restaurants and pubs at which to rest and enjoy a snack, lunch or later in the day, an evening meal. There are several more places to eat situated on the seafront with views over the bay.

Foxden is just five minutes from the network of main roads that will take you within an hour to medieval Faversham and Rochester, historic Dover and Deal, quaint Whitstable, ancient sandwich, tradtional Broadstairs as well as to the established seaside towns of Margate, Ramsgate and Folkestone.
